FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the crypto watchlist with p&l tracking

How do I add coins to my watchlist? +
Search any coin in the search bar and click the star icon. Your watchlist is saved in your browser's localStorage — no signup or account is required.
Is my watchlist private? +
Yes — it is stored entirely client-side in your browser. We never receive your watchlist, your cost basis, or your P&L. Clearing your browser data clears the watchlist.
Can I track my profit-and-loss (P&L)? +
Yes — enter your entry price and quantity for each coin and the tool shows live P&L in dollars and percent. P&L updates as the spot price moves.
Does the watchlist sync across devices? +
Not currently — the watchlist is per-browser. Cross-device sync requires a login system and is on the Q2 2026 roadmap. For now, use the CSV export to move it.
Which metrics are tracked on each row? +
Live price, 24h / 7d / 30d change %, P&L %, P&L $, current value, cost basis, and a sparkline for the last 7 days.
Can I export my watchlist to CSV? +
Yes — under settings, "Export CSV" produces a file with every coin, entry, quantity, current price, and P&L. Useful for tax reporting or moving to a spreadsheet.
Are price alerts available? +
Browser push notifications for absolute and percent thresholds are live. Email and Telegram alerts require an account, planned for Q2 2026.
Why does my watchlist P&L differ from my exchange? +
Three reasons: (1) cost-basis method — your exchange may use FIFO while you entered an average; (2) fees — exchange fees are baked into your real cost basis but not into the entry you typed; (3) mark price — your exchange may price against its own order book.
