Our price predictions are the output of a quantitative model documented openly on our methodology page. The model combines momentum, realised volatility, sentiment, and mean reversion — well-known inputs that nonetheless cannot anticipate regulatory headlines, exchange failures, hack events, or other tail risks. The bear and bull bands are designed to contain roughly 85% of realised outcomes; the other 15% are tails the model cannot see.
A model that has been correct in the past offers no guarantee of being correct in the future. Crypto markets have moved 50% in a day; they will do it again. Size positions accordingly.
Volatility & risk of total loss
Cryptocurrency markets are among the most volatile asset classes that exist. Individual coins have lost 90%+ of their value within weeks; some have lost 100% (rugpulls, exchange seizures, lost private keys, smart contract exploits). You should not invest money in crypto that you cannot afford to lose entirely without changing your life. This applies to Bitcoin and Ethereum as much as to the long tail.
