If we get something wrong, we fix it. This page is the public log of every material correction we have made. Smaller fixes (typos, link rot, formatting) are not logged here; material corrections — changes to facts, quotes, or numerical claims — are.
Our corrections policy
- We do not silently edit. Once an article is published, we do not change its body in a way that alters meaning without leaving a public trace.
- Material corrections are appended. Any factual change is added at the bottom of the article with the date, the original wording, and the corrected wording.
- Material corrections are logged here. A second public record exists on this page so readers can scan our correction history at a glance.
- Predictions are never edited. Every prediction is logged the moment it is generated and is never altered retroactively, even if the model later produces a different value.
- Reader corrections are welcome. Email corrections@thedailycoins.io with the article URL and the specific error. We aim to respond within 24 hours on business days.
Public corrections log
The log is empty at the time of writing. We have only just launched, and we will publish every material correction here as they occur. An empty log today is not a guarantee of perfection — it is a statement of how we intend to operate going forward. The log will accumulate with time.
No corrections logged yet
When the first material correction occurs, it will appear here with the date, the affected article, and a short description of what was changed and why.
How to report an error
The fastest channel is email. Send the article URL and the specific claim you believe is wrong to corrections@thedailycoins.io. The senior editor reviews every report personally, and we respond — confirming, disputing, or asking for more detail — within 24 hours on business days. Verified corrections appear on the article within 48 hours.
What counts as material
- Misstated facts (e.g. a wrong date, a misattributed quote, a wrong dollar figure).
- Misidentified people, companies, or coins.
- Errors in our own numerical analysis or model output.
- Misrepresented context that could lead a reasonable reader to a wrong conclusion.
What is not material: typos that don’t change meaning, broken outbound links, minor stylistic edits. Those get fixed silently with a note in the page footer (“Updated date · minor edits”).
If you disagree with a published opinion
Opinion is not the same as a factual error. We welcome reader letters disagreeing with our take. Send them to editor@thedailycoins.io. We publish thoughtful counter-arguments in occasional reader-mail roundups.
