The Daily Coins is a daily cryptocurrency news and quantitative research publication. We cover Bitcoin, Ethereum, and the 500 largest digital assets — every weekday morning, with a 6-minute briefing, live price profiles, and data-backed price predictions across nine forecast horizons.
Why this site exists
Crypto media has two failure modes. The first is hype: paid coverage, undisclosed conflicts, breathless price-action recaps with no context. The second is gatekeeping: pretending the asset class doesn’t exist or framing every story through a permabear lens. Neither serves a reader trying to understand what is actually happening.
The Daily Coins sits in the middle. We treat crypto as a real, often messy, asset class with real prices, real flows, and real consequences. We publish a quantitative price model openly, log every prediction the moment it is generated, and publish accuracy scores publicly once we have enough history. We do not accept payment for coverage; we do not write about coins we own; we disclose every potential conflict inline.
What we publish
- The Daily Briefing — a 6-minute morning email summarising overnight Bitcoin, Ethereum, and altcoin flows, plus the three signals that actually matter today. Free, daily, by 7am ET.
- 500 live coin profiles — price, 24h volume, market cap, 7-day chart, all-time high/low, and our prediction. Refreshed hourly from public APIs.
- Price predictions — across 24h, 7d, 30d, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, plus 2025, 2026, and 2030 horizons. Bear / base / bull bands with the math shown.
- Analysis — longer-form pieces on ETF flows, regulation, on-chain data, and macro positioning. Bylined, reviewed, and dated.
- The Learn hub — plain-English explainers for readers who want to understand what they are looking at before they trade.
How we are funded
The Daily Coins is independently owned. Revenue comes from three transparent sources, in this order of size:
- Newsletter sponsorships — clearly labelled, never woven into editorial. Sponsors do not see editorial calendar in advance and do not have approval rights on coverage of their own companies or competitors.
- Affiliate links to regulated exchanges — disclosed inline; see our affiliate disclosure for the full list and how we choose partners.
- Premium research — a future paid tier of deeper model output and historical exports. Not yet live.
We do not accept payment for editorial coverage. We do not run paid placements styled as articles. We do not publish “press releases” from token projects as news.
How we make predictions
Our model blends four classes of input — log returns at multiple horizons, realised volatility from 7-day price history, the alternative.me Fear & Greed sentiment index, and a mean-reversion anchor against the 7-day moving average — into a daily drift estimate, then projects forward with geometric Brownian motion. Bear and bull bands are ±1.5 standard deviations × √t, designed to contain roughly 85% of realised outcomes.
The full formula, weights, and limits are documented openly on our methodology page. Every prediction is logged the instant it is generated; no past forecast is ever edited retroactively. After 30 days of history accumulates, we publish a live accuracy scoreboard.
Who runs it
The Daily Coins is built by a small editorial team led by a senior markets editor and four section editors covering Ethereum & L2, DeFi, regulation, and altcoins/memecoins. The model is maintained by a quantitative engineer who is not on the editorial team — model output is reviewed by editors before any commentary is published. Meet the team at /team/.
Editorial standards
We follow strict editorial guidelines on sourcing, conflict disclosure, AI-assisted writing, and corrections. Read the full standards document at /editorial-guidelines/. Our public corrections log lives at /corrections/.
Not financial advice
Everything we publish is information, not advice. Crypto markets are volatile and capable of moves outside any model’s expected range. Do your own research, size positions you can afford to lose, and treat every forecast — including ours — as one input among many. See our full disclaimer.
